1.1 Young Minds Trust (“we” or “our”) owns and operates the HeadMeds webSite (“Site”). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

2 What Information Do We Collect About You?

2.1.2 any correspondence you send to us;
2.1.3 details of your visits to our Site and the resources that you access (which may include, amongst other things; traffic data and communication data);
2.2 We are aware that your information may be confidential and we will protect the confidentiality of your information in accordance with our normal procedures and legal requirements.
3 How Will We Use Your Information?
3.1 We use your information in the following ways:
3.1.1 to ensure that our Site’s content is presented as effectively as possible for you;
3.1.2 for our internal purposes, such as quality control, Site performance, system administration and to evaluate use of our Site, so that we can provide you with enhanced services;
3.1.3 to notify you about changes about HeadMeds;
3.1.4 to send you our ‘Young Minds’ newsletter if you opt to receive it and to provide you with information about Young Mind’s activities and service in the field of mental health of children and young people which we think may interest you;
3.1.5 to respond to any questions or comments you send to us by email;
3.1.6 to provide you with any other information relating to HeadMeds and/or YoungMinds or that we feel may be of interest to you;
3.1.7 to maintain our organisational records;
3.1.8 to display your comment (anonymously) on the Site; and
3.1.9 make changes to the content of the Site.
3.2 We may monitor your use of our Site and record your email address and/or IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to enable us to aggregate information about the use of our Site. This is statistical information about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.
3.3 We collect non-personal aggregated statistics data about visitors to this Site. Just to be clear, this information does not identify users in any personal capacity and we do not use this information to build profiles on individual users: it just contains generalised information about the users of our Site.
3.4 We only keep your information for as long as is necessary.
4 Who Do We Share Your Information With?
4.1 To any statutory, legal body or other person to whom we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect your safety or wellbeing.
4.2 Apart from that, we will not share your information with any other persons without your prior consent.

7.1 Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to see the personal information that we hold about you, whether collected through your use of the Site or through any communications that you have had with us. Please note that currently a fee of ten pounds (£10.00) may be payable to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
7.2 You have the right to rectify your information by sending us a written request to us at ymenquiries@youngminds.org.uk.
7.3 You have the right to ask us not to process your information or to send you information about HeadMeds or Young Minds. You can tick the appropriate box on the forms when we collect your information or later at any time by contacting us at ymenquiries@youngminds.org.uk.
7.4 If you have a complaint about how we have used your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
7.5 Our Site may, from time to time, contain links to and from Young Mind’s other websites and third party websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
8 Access to information
8.1 The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
